Why are there so many endangered animals in the world? What is causing this? Well, about 65 million years ago, Dinosaurs went extinct. This was because of a little thing called natural causes. Scientists say that the dinos went extinct because of either two conspiracies. One was because of some type of extraterrestrial hit that happened. This could be an asteroid, a comet, or maybe even a massive volcano. This caused dinosaurs to have a Loss of Habitat. I do not really have to explain what it is. The meaning is kind of in the name. But a loss of habitat is when an animal or living thing lose's it's home. It is pretty sad, but it does happen often. Natural causes are only one of the reasons why animals are going extinct. But, I will save that story for a different time. Another reason why animals are going extinct is because of us! We are causing this! First of all, Humans are causing climate change which makes a big difference on animals are there homes. We are also, and I hate to say it, but killing these poor animals for sometimes, fun. This is NOT okay. Another reason is mass starvation. Animals are not getting enough food, which is causing them to be malnourished. Then, they eventually pass away because of this. I know, its not pretty, or at all okay. Another reason is invasive species. There are many invasive species in the world. Invasive species are species of plants, animals, insects, etc, that can be harmful to the environment around them. One of these are called the Round Goby. https://roundgobyinformation.weebly.com/ There are a lot of reasons. And we are here to stop them.
